Kati Outinen is a Finnish actress who has played in over 50 movies. The most important have been in leading female roles in Aki Kaurismäki's films including Shadows in Paradise, The Match Factory Girl, The Man Without a Past, Le Have and The Other side of Hope.

 

She has received the Award for Best Actress of the Cannes Film Festival for her role in « The Man Without a Past ».
The film is a comedy-drama produced, written, and directed by Aki Kaurismäki, starring Markku Peltola, Kati Outinen and Juhani Niemelä. The film won the Grand Prix at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
